Due vto the excellence of our dev lads, if you study the date for the battle of midway and make sure you are in the correct location NNW of Midway, you can have 4 juicy carriers all to yourself

Anyone know if a RSRD version for TMO 2.0 is in works or if version for 1.9 works?

I was wondering the same thing. According to the changelog, TMO 2.0 has a lot of changes and improvements on merchants, warships and AI sensors. I'm wondering if those changes will be overwritten by RSRD for TMO 1.9.

The current version of RSRDC for TMO is compatible with TMO 2.0

Thank you for the reply. I will try the mod the next time i am in port. I have concluded that the end ports must be in the map for the convoy to be generated. Playing the RFB 2.0 mod, the only convoys I found were around Cam Ranh Bay in Dec. Likewise, Moji Japan was and still is a major military base in Japan. Maybe Moji appears on the moded map.

One guy on UBI Soft's SH4 forum stated he removed RSRDC because enemy air traffic is too high and his sub almost cannot travel surfaced. Is it true?

As far as I remember, it's the other way around.

Stock game is swarming, RSRDC is much better.

I have tried everything and still getting plagued with bloody aircraft. Adjusted codes, tried websters better air patrols, nothing works.

So RSRDC is unrealistic because Japanese ASW air power on the PTO was not an Allied one's equivalent on the ATO. This way US skipper must play like U-boat skipper after 1943 which means assured destruction or non-playable patrols. It is complete faulty so I must remove RSRDC, too!

The air power of this is such that there must have been hundreds of thousands of aircraft in the air, on the same days, to merit the amount spotted when on patrol. At one stage in the Bismarck Sea, I did not time to even patrol as I was constantly being forced to dive due to two or more planes coming directly at me!! Its not the planes but the proportions.

Yes in later years in RSRD the number of planes goes up, this IS historically accurate.Ever read books by Admirals Fluckey or O Kane or the other skippers from later war patrol? They talk about having to dive constantly in mid- late 44 until the end of the war.Theyd dive, stay under a few minutes and then come back up, then when a plane came back, theyd dive again, it was called the yo-yo.

stock game was absolutely ridiculous as far as air patrols go, RSRD solved it.TMO 2.0's aircraft spawn rate is accurate as well.

Im thinking you have mod soup or something, it's not RSRD causing it.
