Have you thought about using Bittorrent for the distribution? That might speeds things up considerably once you got a couple of people who have the file available.

I can't wait for this mod to come out.

I am not familiar with Bittorrent. Any information/ links regarding Bittorrent posted here would be very welcome.

If it costs me money... well errrmm... that doesn't grow on trees.

Thanks AceChilla.

Another thing I would like to know is whether or not FileFront supports download accelerators (Something else I know little about.) and whether or not there are any good/reputable download accelerators available as freeware. (Something else I know little about.)

Just now I tested FileFront and it totally sucked as far as DL speed was concerned.

bittorent is a p2p sharing client, like emule or edonkey.

To all... double and triple checking elements continues at a now furious pace.

During the upload process on Saturday, I will be posting a list of features and mod-list. I also hope to upload a screenshot package that you can grab if you like.

By Sunday evening I hope to have at least two locations on Filefront that you can DL the Grey Wolves. I know that lately FileFront has been very slow, but I expect that this is a temporary situation.

Later in the week I will do my best to break GW into smaller pieces for a split file upload th Rapidshare, but again this has its drawbacks.

Thanks to our friend Terrapin, GW should be available readily at his awesome SH3 website... U-Boot.Realsimulation.com by the end of the following week.

Terrapin, thanks again for what you are doing for us and for all you have already done so generously for our community. You are THE BEST!

I don't know what to say.....

Just know that everything you guys do is wth. Whayting for....
So I'm here on mi litlle corner and wich you guys the best, as you deserve it, and also i'm shore that this mod will bang our socks and will gives us loads of new SHIII gaming features!!!!

It's free, the only drawback it's that download speed depends on how many people are sharing the file.

Filefront definitly has problems. Today I was trying to download 44 M and it took 4 hours

Bittorrent is a file sharing protocol / application. There are a lot of bittorrent clients, all of them free. What it does, is that it basically facilitates downloading / uploading from one user to another. No ftp / central server is required for this. Just a site able to host a small file that contains addresses of other users where you download / upload (which is called "tracker"). It is very popular with Linux distributions, since they are quite big. It is a very fast method, ideal for a release such as this,

Other than that, the file can be shared over the existing eDonkey / eMule network - Emule client is freeware - This is a little bit easier to use for a beginner. It is not as fast as Bittorrent, which concentrates on a single file, but can be qute fast, esp. if the uploaders have adequate B/W. See http://www.emule-project.net

Learning curve for both is 1-2 hours.

Yes Filefront sucks latelly, to slow, and most of the times depending on the file size they just cut the download on the midle and you've got to download all over again....

Example to download 400 MB IUB last mod, i left Mi blessed computer working all night, from 22. to 7 AM in the morning , not shore if it finished downloading earleer but that was the hour i returned from work....

Just a question, why won't SubSim host the download. I have never seen a slow download through SubSim.

Because you'd have to pay for it! Any mod larger than 50mb is counted as a bonus mod and you have to donate to Subsim.com to get it. But that is understandable, this site is GREAT!

Default Bittorrent

I agree that Bittorrent would be the easiest and most effective solution to distribute this file without any fees. I would be happy to create the bittorrent and host it on my web site.
