None at all I'm afraid but any interested parties were required to sign non disclosure agreements before serious talks would commence so you're as much in the dark as I and everyone else is.
Par for the course where Mike Ashley is concerned. |

Never thought I'd see the day when I was cheering on Man Utd to come back from 0-2 against Crystal Palace on tv last night.

Didn't want to start a new thread ´cause it is about football, English football.
Heard yesterday the English Foreign Minister Boris Johnson Saying there is a possibility that England would not be a part of the World Cup in Russia this summer. It makes me sad when politicians mix sports and politics. I wonder what the sports and football-loving people in England have said to this statement. Markus |

Only FIFA is permitted to mix politics with football. They come down hard on any nation that exerts political influence on the sport. But they have no problem doing it themselves. I have made anti-FIFA rants earlier in this thread, so I will try and keep it civil.
I don't know enough about England's position here to comment one way or the other. And I agree politics has no business here. But it is the modern sportscape. FIFA is going to award the World Cup to Morocco instead of the North American bid, simply because they don't like Trump, nor do they like their corruption exposed. Just watch. So they will ignore the fact that a North American World Cup would require no new infrastructure, no new transportation networks and be the most well-attended tournament in history. And instead give it to Morocco, so they can spend billions and do to their country what the World Cup did to South Africa and to Brazil, just to name two. Madness. But FIFA will get their money. And the Moroccan people can pay for it, in ways that cannot just be measured in monetary terms. FIFA is a joke.

It took me a few minutes to catch up. So this boycott is in 'potential' retaliation for Russia 'allegedly' attempting to poison one of it's former spies on a London park bench?
That'll teach 'em. Politicians are so lame. Boycott the World Cup? If it weren't so absurd it would be funny. How does that affect anything at all? Answer: It doesn't. But the politicians can say they did something. Doesn't matter if it was actually effective or not. And I guess England can spend the next four years saying, well we could have won the World Cup, probably would have actually, if it weren't for nerve agents and double spies. What a world we live in.

TOON are at home to Southampton tomorrow in what is rightly being called a 'six pointer'.

Second half in play and TOON lead 3-0, surely we won't see a repeat of the Bournemouth game.

TOON triumphed 3-0 against Southampton to earn three desparately needed points and Sunderland maintained their record as being the team that keeps on giving.

Still nervous TOON aren't out of the danger zone yet.
There are 6 or 8 game left I cross my finger and hope they will advance further and the team below them will lose all their matches. Markus |

So one day a new horse arrives at this donkeys stables and brags all day about all the races its won. The donkey feeling like it needs to impress the horse invites it around to his stable where he's hung a photo of a zebra on the wall. The horse says "Who's that in the photo"? and the donkey say's "Oh that's me when I played for the toon."

It was a double win so to say.
TOON did as expected winning their match against Huddersfield. Most of the teams below TOON lost their matches. It was only West Ham who won their match against Southampton And that is a double win so to say. Markus |
