MARRYING ULFRIC STORMCLOAK
Part 2 Erik the Slayer, however, *did* attend the ceremony, and being the agreeable young man that he is, he was more than happy to escort us all the back to Windhelm. Ulfric's mouth is saying "Thank you," but his eyes are saying "Take a hike, junior, three's a crowd." My first night in the Palace as an honest woman. If I look a little misty-eyed, it's because Ulfric insisted on a "no jumping on the bed" clause in the pre-nup and it's really harshing my mellow. Nevertheless, we did have a tender, private moment while walking over to Hjerim the next morning to get all packed for the honeymoon. "Look, I don't care what you say, I *know* you jumped on the bed. I was dreaming about trampolines all night. Do it again and I'll hold your pretty head on the block myself." But all was forgiven as I came downstairs all ready to go only to find my hubby dearest fixing me a home-cooked breakfast. I gave him the Blades armor as a wedding gift and I must say, he looks mah-velous. |

MARRYING ULFRIC STORMCLOAK
Part 3 Well, the honeymoon has been eventful so far. We went for a hike up Mount Anthor to see if we could find the dragon that the guards back in Windhelm won't shut up about. On the way, I spotted a snow sabrecat up ahead and managed to get one arrow into it before it saw me. Unfortunately one wasn't enough and it immediately charged right at me, claws out and fangs all agleam for the kill. I got off another shot which gave me a fantastic killcam, but just before it cut away to that I saw a blurry shape out of the corner of my eye and the when killcam ended, I looked up to see this: Yep, he actually ran all the way up from where he was trailing behind me and put himself directly between me and the big angry kitteh. Honestly I don't know how he didn't get nailed by the second arrow himself. Is he awesome, or what? And speaking of awesome, did I say we were looking for a dragon? OH HELL YEAH. It's my first ever video what I maded on my computin' machine! I knew I spent that money on a media suite for a reason. Ulfric is really good trash talker, I swore I wasn't gonna abuse being able to have him as a follower but... man. It could be hard to give him up. Among my favorites heard this week were "Should I close my eyes? That might even things up" and "You're losing a lot of blood, maybe you should sit down." Also, when we came around Mount Anthor towards the Alftand ruins, there was... this... thing. Just hanging in the sky. So I did what any self-respecting Nord would do, I just kept shooting at it until it came down. Then we climbed all the way to the top of Mount Anthor and back down and headed for Whiterun, where I needed to check in at Breezehome and Jorrvaskr. We took a jog over towards Rorikstead to wipe out what remained of the Imperial camp over there and then after that it was off to bed. And when I woke up in the morning what do you think I saw? This whole marriage thing could turn out better than I thought. Now if I can just get him to put the bucket seat down... |

I said: nothing flippin works. Making LOD in CK crashes 99% of the time, the terrain doesn't show up in-game as it is in the CK, 3rd party tools kiiiinda work but still never been able to get the LOD working with them. It is possible to get new terrain to work, but looking at some of the instructions it's not really worth the work for something small like I'm doing when it could be done in 15 minutes if only the CK would work. |

1.6 patch is out. A slew of bug fixes and now you can use weapons on horseback.

Weapons on horseback??
My plate is kinda full ATM, as I am stuck on Anno 2070 at the moment. But do you mean I can swing my sword, which is basic and should have been there from day one, or can I actually be a horse archer? (hello Parthians) You give me horse archer. Now! Just wondering.

I believe the official release mentioned "melee and ranged" combat from horseback. My understanding is that "ranged" includes archery, but no magic.
I don't suppose I can shout from horseback, as shouts are handled like spells IIRC. |

Overheard this morning in the Palace of the Kings... "Hi honey. Listen, I'm going down to the market to pick up a few things, and I need some septims for..." "Dammit, woman, what happened to the purseful of gold I gave you last week?" "I spent it on ebony ingots! You think I pulled that bow I gave you out of my backside? No, never mind, that's fine. I'll just make do with steel from now on, so what if we get eaten by bears because you can't one-shot them anymore, at least we'll still be rich when we're dead..." "...*sigh*..." Edit: OMG I just noticed he's actually wearing his wedding ring! *faint* Last edited by frau kaleun; 05-26-12 at 07:36 AM. |

LOL! I had real fun with it crashing every couple of minutes but it seems to have stopped doing that. I'm gradually getting there although I do feel that building a real house might have been easier. It's certainly a powerful set of tools, though. Don't really know where to build it. Near Whiterun I guess. I always end up there anyway.

Which is lame honestly... so I can swing my sword or shoot my bow but I can't hurl a fireball from my palm? Why? |
