Late 90s long running series. Great imaginative scripts, funny dialog, talented actors, beautiful women, monsters, Gods, and a spinoff long running series - "Xena - Warrior Princess".

Cougar Town.

Jules Cobb is a mom in her forties facing the often humorous challenges, pitfalls and rewards of life's next chapter. Along for the journey is her son, her ex-husband, her husband/neighbor and her friends who together make up her dysfunctional, but supportive and caring extended family... even if they have a funny way of showing it sometimes.



It's an American TV comedy series, it's light on laughs and the canned laughter has me grinding my teeth but it has Courtney Cox in it and that's good enough for me. If this is what they call comedy over the pond it's no wonder that they have so many shrinks making millions of dollars out of the braindead fools.
I'm on series 1 episode 8 and there hasn't been anything much to write home about as yet, but, there was one memorable scene in episode 1, no, no, I'm not going to tell you what it was, but, I should have stopped watching it then and there and claimed a win but the Courtney effect kicked in, I think I'll give that scene another look by the way.

Brassic (2019 )

A group of working-class friends finding unconventional ways to win at life in northern suburbia. These lads have dealt, scammed, bribed and conned their way through adolescence, but now, on the brink of adulthood, their dealing and stealing is catching up with them and a whole load of trouble is heading their way.



Brassic is a very good comedy drama, this could be a classic that rivals the UK version of "Shameless", that's if the writers can keep this level up. The actors all played their part well, and the storyline, although not the best was enough to keep me watching it. I've only watched the first episode and it's got my nod of approval, there's some swearing in this series, so it's best if there's no children about if you do decide to watch it.

Girls und Panzer (2012)

This TV Series is slow, in fact, if it got any slower it would be in reverse, the reviews said this show was fantastic, the only fantastic thing I've seen so far is Winona Ryder knocking her character out of the ball park for a home run.
There's no criticism of any other characters either, all play their part OK but they aren't going to win an Oscar for it.
I'm 5 episodes in and I still don't know where the character Eleven fits into this show, how did she get her powers?, are there more like her?, why doesn't she go to that secret government lab and squash it like a tin can?. There are more questions than answers and it's been reflected in my 5 episode review of this series.

I'll watch this series till the end of season 1 but, if it doesn't get into 3rd gear by the end of it I'll be giving it the boot.

With a lot of long running tv series ever now and then they'd throw in a funny episode...This is a 5 star one. No one gets killed, and lots of laughs.
