Step 1: Go to http://www.battleflags.us/, click on "Download a Boat", find the skin for your specific boat and download it.
Step 2: Get a free image editing program like GIMP or Paint.net. Step 3: Copy and paste the appropriate kill flags onto the NSS_GatoTower_T01.dds (or whatever class of boat you're working with), and make a duplicate of that same file for NSS_GatoTower_T02.dds. Step 4: Install the mod with JSGME like usual. While the original site doesn't appear to be up and running yet, I'm willing to help out and do a few killflags for people not comfortable with editing the dds files themselves. As long as the boat's base skin with the logo has already been made, that is. ![]() |

Well,
I downloaded gimp and tried to do the ol' cut & paste with the dds files.......... When I went to save I got some error message stating something to the effect that the file was a volume map but (something) wasn't present..... It then proceeded to save and when I opened it back up the only thing there was the flags I cut and pasted. No texture map of the tower....??? Any ideas?

you need to convert the dds files to a format that gimp recognizes. save them then convert them back to dds files.

The DDS files are mipmapped, so they have multiple layers, each one at half the resolution of the previous one. This is why it's saying it's a volume map - as it has multiple layers. Delete all but the top most layer before saving.

It can be done but it will be mirrored on the over side of the sail. In other words backwards.
