Hm. It is British, but not English and not from Northern Ireland. I asked if it was Welsh but maybe this was considered a joke. At least it wasn't answered. It can't be Scottish, because Wikipedia only lists William Beardmore and Company as a aircraft manufacturer, and all of their designs were single engine biplanes. So it must come from some obscure company from the canal islands. I'm giving up on this...

Sorry, people in the US frequently call the UK England so that was what I assumed. Headquarters would be in England.

The aircraft used fabric covering but the description says the nose of this variant was solid.

That is for the most part true but the aircraft did serve in various theaters and rolls for much of WW2.

Let's see. This particular variant didn't use any of those but the standard variant had provision for Rolls-Royce engines.
