Would it be possible to improve the look of the Perry FFG model or at least the texture?

I could make the texture a little lighter if people want but that's all.

I think I know that one, I had it a few years ago, got it from the Linux SSN boys. |

Anyway, i have some more tiny mod proposals/questions. a) The russian Mike-class SSN had a titanium hull and was (according to the book i just read) very hard to detect on MAD because of this, however the LWAMI datbase lists it as quite the opposite, it is exceptionally easy to detect on MAD. Ok, that boat did not play a big role in reality before it sank, but I had some graet ideas for my upcoming LWAMI campaign with that boat. Nice to see you've got the max. diving depth right, btw, this shows that you guys are very accurate and careful! b) Chile is misspelled as CHLIE in the datbase. (An incredibly HUGE error, lol) c) Some US-subs were able to fire the SUBROC, could those be added to the database/loadouts of those boats? The UUM-44 was used on the Thresher, Sturgeon and LA class iirc. It had a nuclear warhead iirc, but for balance reasons a large conventional warhead would be fine imo. It would really add to the game. After reading some more submarine stories about the cold war I have changed my mind about my campaign, I will instead go for a 70s-80s cold-war campaign with OS from both sides, I will try to stay as historically (regarding the used units) correct as possible. And i want to use as many Lwami models as possible

I'm not going to try and rebuild someone else's texture.
That is a headache I don't need. Especially without the original 3D model. Quote:
ML you got that? Quote:
Did you fix that already ML? Quote:

CHLIE was reported and corrected awhile back.
DW doesn't model MAD very well. I tried adjusting MAD SLs and detection curves for either 3.09 or 3.10, and it turned out subs were either detectable or not; it wasn't possible to make something hard but possible to detect.

@TLAM : If you find the time I would suggest making a few different Dhow models, along with one or two Skiffs. And voila, you have something to populate regions like the Indian Ocean, Gulf of Aden or Red Sea (and more). Might open the way to some interesting missions.

Just a question: How easy/feasible would it be to make the FLT1 688 class a player platform? I mean except the slightly different torpedo loadout (Mk 48 instead of Mk 48 ADCAP) and some other minor stuff those boats are very close to the FLT 2 and 3 boats. It would also make more cold-war scenarios possible and more realistic (no more Seawolf against Foxtrot scenarios, lol). The cold-war campaign I was working on is halted because of that, i think I will return to my russian post-cold-war campaign instead. It's really nice to have all those old russian subs, but there is no way to make a realistic cold-war scenario with them and the modern US player boats.

I would however heartfully wellcome a 688 that can be optionally enabled via JSGME replacing the Seawolf, so that you can actually play a cold war campaign starting with the 688 and then receiving the improved 688i class. As you, I think that there is not much interest in adding some cold war units if you are going to engage them with much superior and modern platforms.

Actually I was thinking more of 76mm Strike or AGM-65 Strike. Had a vision of a FFG mission where you need to escort a coastal convoy in the 3rd world country that is breaking out in to rebellion. Tanks on the shore would take shots at you. Kind of like the old "African Bee's Nest" mission only bigger.
