New set of SubSim Aviator skins, ideas, suggestion.

Like the title says, after a short talk with Kratos & Hunter on TS last night, I've started making a new set of SubSim Aviator skins for everyone to use.

And when I say started, I mean, done nothing. :p

So, what kind of paintjobs you want to see? Colors? Any logos?

And to give this a kickstart, I made this 109 skin quickly (in the bottom it says with letters the size of a cow "SUBSIM", but it's reversed.. oops!

No worries, take your time.

As for the colors, that blue/white coloring is from the SubSim's frontpage banner. I wont be giving up the blue, white I can change or add a third color.

Also, I think it would be nice to have abit more complex skin. Not just one colored fuselage and nose/tail/spinner with another color. Just cant think of anything.

Not spending much time in the air at the moment, so if you don't go with my suggestion, that's fine.

Keep the blue, it's good.

The white should be changed. Maybe darkish grey (?).

Which ever secondary colour you choose, it needs to extend to the wings somehow, the entire underside of the aircraft and part way up the fuselage (aka the V1 skin

) stretching to the tail, where it will merge into the rudder.

Maybe? :hmm:

I like the white more then with the previous yellow colour on the nose.

this time we take a different step, we choose 1 Aircraft.

and like I said on Teamspeak I get back in to making Co-op missions with a Subsim Aviators storyline, (IE : Defend the Subsim aircraft Carier from torpedo attacks, or Defend Onkels Neal Gato sub from enemy attackers:p and Attack the X1 Train with the Seawolves SH3 expansion packs Cargo)

Not gonna happen, he's gonna have GTA IV soon (or do you already have it?) and IGN gave it 10/10, the first game the get full 10 points in almost 10 years.

I'll have a new WIP up of what Dan proposed (if I understood him right, doubt it tho.) in a few minutes.

The small blue stripes where the wing meets the fuselage are fixable, just forgot. I like the wings, not sure about the shade of grey, could maybe be a bit lighter?

:hmm: as I'm going to pick the Tempest I wonder how it would look with the invasion stripes. (perhaps a idea to do them all with invasion stripes?)

So, how about default camoschemes of the plane one chooses, but with 2 colors we decide? Blue and ?.

For example, here's 109 and Hurricane with default paintjob recolored.

Tis a hard call this!! Iv'e tried mixing and matching to find a colour to go with the blue.not having much luck though.. tried various shades of green,grey ..looks fugly

...once i get a few beers down my neck tonight i might see things a bit clearer

Will try it with 2 different scheme on the sub thingy. Black & blue and the usual sub scheme of Black top, dark red bottom.
