Excellent Tank Squad Overview (YouTube)
Just wanted to share this fantastic tutorial I came across of this new tank simulator Tank Squad.
It walks through pretty much everything: squad command, movement and firing, artillery support, repairs, salvaging wrecks, and how the game’s logistics layer works between missions.

Beth’s Super Sharp Shooter Tank Squad Tutorial

If you're unsure about the game or didn’t realise how deep it goes — this is very much worth a watch, though he does play in semi sim/arcade mode. If you want full sim the option is there.

I sensed the same regarding “pacing” in recent simulations, but couldn’t put my finger on it. Part of the excitement for me is the “anticipation” of something about to happen in a sim, which is why I think, I’m drawn to subsims like SH. Perhaps the popularity of RTS craze and marketing of late has pushed simulation games in the direction you describe.

Thank you for the kind words Vox and I appreciate you visiting the blog. I'm glad the point about pacing resonated with you. It's definitely something I've been mulling over.
