Sea Legends lives?
Been quiet for a very long time but Steam page is now live, and the website updated! https://www.sea-legends.com/
Cautious because of the track record in Naval Action, but the goal of a realistic 18th century single-player tall ship simulation is worth watching! |

Welcome aboard!
Whitehawk!...after a 17 year 'silent run'! Remember: fire yer broadside on the uproll at the rigging, not on the downroll at the hull;...makes for a less damaged quarry for the prize money.

A Painted Ocean is a tantalizing glimpse of more realistic ship handling than WASD'ing around the ocean haha, nearly through my second circumnavigation of the Patrick O'Brian Aubrey/Maturin series and wishing for a simulator of that world!

Agree, 👍 a sailing model like PO coupled with an adventure similar to O’Brian or C.S.Forester would be wonderful. A serious simulation of sail of the caliber of Silent Hunter. Anything to break the Pirate/ fantasy game mold.

Well that's three of us haha!
Must say the below excerpt from their website sounds like a breath of fresh air as well, if they pull it off - getting a little tired of the trends being disavowed here: Sea Legends is purely single player simulation experience built around hauling, combat and privateering in the Caribbean. No “live service” elements, no huge lengthy unfinished roadmaps. Sea Legends is a simple narrow focus old school gaming experience where what you see is what you get. |
