Cold Waters vs Dangerous Waters
Hi there.
I don't know which one of them should I buy. What do you guys think are the pros and cons of each of them? What would you suggest to do? Cheers! |

Von_Warlitz! Get 'em both! It'll support the economy and prevent boredom. I still switch from Aces of the Deep to SHII and SH V and am considering acquiring Wolfpack...

CW+DOT MOD. No doubt about it. And when the "2000" update of the mod appears, more so. Enjoy.Greetings. Marcelo

CW because of the DOT MOD, I like to play Destroyers. DW because of the RA, I think it's pretty good.

Cold Waters is much more arcadey where your crew does most of the work to find the solution. Controlling the sub and firing torps takes little action.
Dangerous is more intricate where you can have some help from the ai crew, but you can do all the work to navigate and find your targets, determine the solution by manually figuring out your sonar and other contacts, and firing upon and hitting your target. I'd go with Cold for easier play and fast action, Dangerous for slower and more involved play. |

Good Hunting!

I say both! I enjoy both for different reasons. Cold Waters battles are generally about 30 minutes in length whereas a Dangerous Waters mission could take several hours. Also, you can't save in the middle of a battle in Cold Waters but you can in Dangerous Waters.
It also depends on what level of engagement you want with doing things. Cold Waters is much more true to being a Captain in that you don't concern yourself with detecting sonar contacts or making solutions - you are mostly concerned on only the tactical picture. In Dangerous Waters, you can do as much or as little of the sonar or solution or fire control work as you want. There is autocrew to help you with that but you can get better results doing it manually, which can feel micromanaging and overwhelming at times.
