Any Boomer divers out there ?
Is this a minority interest ? Are there any folk out there who would like to skulk with the Hulk in MP ?
Say we scripted *reduced functionality of an Ak to simulate a Boomer and tasked tightish timed SSN escort/intercept sub v sub scenario/s ? Anyone out there like to get some very cold feet - on the rocks or iced ? Plenty of 'ole B17 or F18 mud movers might see the challenge ! *We have got some ideas to overcome 'damage' recovery but if anyone has 'been there and done that' - any advice would be very welcome ! But first - is there any demand for MP roles for Boomer drivers out there ?

Id love to play as a boomer preferable a yankee or delta class, i realy realy would love that.
Im not realy a good attack boat skipper id rather be on the boomers cause it suites me right down to the ground. id rather be a captain of a yankee or Delta than captain of an akula.

What happens when you are detected in a mission ? Is the sub capable of going up against a last generation hunter/killer submarine ? I don't think so. I've always seen boomer commanding as a one way mission, nut much variety in that. |

G: It could depend on the mission - if you were navigating tricky waters say choke point with ice, escorted by
2 SSNs with the Boomer Capt in charge of coordinating activity - there could be a good challenge. I guess its like when the Captain stuck you in goal at school - you put up with it for the team. Seen as a group exercise it might be fun. Next game you take a SSN and some other guy moves to the Boomer. But all more interesting than escorting/intercepting a dumb AI Boomer ?

For me to know that in the area is SSN hunting me (SSBN) would be very satisfing.I would use all my knoledge to stay undetected and defend if I were detected. But most real life scenarios (that never occured) should happen under polar ice!
