Racism happens when people stop becomeing individuals and people start seeing things as a conflict between one group and another i.e. West vs middle East

Are you saying there isnt a constant conflict between values? You cant describe it as OUR values and THEIR values? Some times you have to take the big picture and i claim that in general, these two cultures are in conflict with each other. Ofcourse we can talk philosophy and distance ourselfs from the issue, but my bet is that there is going to be violance because of this. And its not going to be because of this thread, so chill out.

It is not a case a case of 'us' Vs 'them' because there is not 'us' or 'them'.
You can not define violent factions outside of their actions
You can not call them muslims because islam' is a religion that is inderpendant of these violent factions. To do so is plain racism. Islamism would exsist without these actions and these violent actions would exsist without Islam

I totally agree with you about a governing factor of these people is the society they grew up in. And I also agree it's nothing to do with race, religion, or color. But you can't ignore a few things:

1. Muslims flew commercial airliners into buildings in New York City.
2. Muslims beat the charred bodies of Western civilians with their shoes, then hung them from a bridge.
3. Muslims have fired rocket-propelled grenades into schools full of children in Israel.
4. Muslims cut off the heads of three teenaged girls on their way to school in Indonesia. A Christian school at that.
5. Muslims massacred dozens of innocents at a Passover Seder.
6. Muslims murdered more than 50 commuters in attacks on London subways and busses. Over 700 were injured. And Spain too.
8. Muslims are involved, on one side or the other, in almost every one of the 125+ shooting wars around the world. Against other reeligions in the name of theirs.
9. Muslim newspapers publish anti-Semitic cartoons.
10. Newspapers in Denmark and Norway publish cartoons depicting Mohammed. Muslims rampage.

Sounds like they think it's "Us Vs. Them". How should we deal with it? Just askin'. You're right about some stuff here, but I hope you don't ignore that we have problems.

But a major problem always has been the FACT that culture-defining Islam does not separate church and state like we do for a pretty long time now. Allah rules the zoo in their opinion and people are simply divided in superior (priviliged) followers and non-followers.
