Time will tell -- it always does!!!
I'll check in over the next few months to see how things are going. But to trust Ubsoft again will take a boat load of thumbs up from an ocean full of you folks who love SH for a very long time.
I have no issue with paying $$$ for a good game. Therefore I did not buy SH5, and gave up on SH4 as "unfixable". SH3 "wolves" is still the best SH game going, but there are still a few bugs to work arround. I play CIV 5 through Steam and it works ( no bugs -- for me so far ). It takes very little internet "power & time" to load, so my internet fees are a non issue. Question, is this a "streaming" game or a load and play game? Buying with $$, or earning new boats with points is OK with me. I would most likley buy, as I will be 76 in 2 months and who knows the future. If this works I will throw money at it quickly and enjoy a modern SH game! |

It's supposed to be browser based, so I guess streaming is the answer.
You should maybe look at SH4 and 5 again, especially 5, the modders have done wonders so far and they haven't stopped yet.
