Ya could try and install DirectX 9C and and see if that works for ya
Ya could also dis-able the AERO theme ( if ya have it ) and see if that works In your Windows XP compatibilty is it xpsp2 I'm runnin' outta ideas for ya ... if none of these work HOPEFULLY someone with a little more knowledge will chime in soon !
