Kurfürst´s Schnelltauchback for SH IV
Kurfürst´s Schnelltauchback
This is the SH IV version of "Kurfürst´s Schnelltauchback", originally done by Privateer for SH III. I converted his Mod (with Privateers permission) to make it playable in SH IV. Historical background The "Schnelltauchback" had been introduced to IX C/40 Uboats by late 1944. The cut-away foredeck reduced the alarm diving time as this was more and more important to escape from attacking airplanes. It had a positive effect in keeping a constant depth while snorkeling, too. The following Uboats had been outfitted with a "Schnelltauchback: U-170, U-190, U-516, U-530, U-539, U-548, U-804, U-805, U-853, U-857, U-858, U-866 -U-869, U-878 - U-881, U-1226, U-1232 - U-1235 This Mod is JSGME- ready. You can download it here: http://www.filefront.com/17203660/Kurfrsts Schnelltauchback for SH IV.rar Gute Jagd and Thank You Privateer! Kurfürst

Will this go straight into OP MONSUN without any problems or is it going to be incorparated into OP MONSUN at some stage?

W O O T ! Got it working and the Snorkel actually functions so I can use deisel engines while submerged.
I did notice that the Snorkel is missing a wake. Missing Wake from Snorkel... Added more Nodes for wake effects: Siaj1 - Siaj3 NSSUboat9c_siajF02 x 10 DOWNLOAD LINK: click picture below Last edited by TheBeast; 08-16-10 at 02:17 PM. |

Thank You for the many "Thank You"!
But it´s Privateer who deserves all the applause as I only made his Mod playable for SH IV! Kurfürst

It´s a "stand- alone" Mod and will not appear at a certain stage of Operation Monsun. Maybe Lurker wants to incorporate it in an upcoming version of his Mod. Beste Grüße, Kurfürst

Missing Snorkel Wake
I have tried everything I can think of to put a wake on the snorkel with no success.
Anyone have any suggestions? |
