[REL/WIP] speech overhaul
trying to get a more navy chain-of-command-like
repeated orders, i started with the helmsman. he will confirm and repeat now (lipsynched) any maneuver orders and uses the terms degrees, knots, port, starboard. also changed (speech): -'contact' to 'sonar contact' -'single contact' to 'radar contact' -added telegraph bell sound (hellcats of the navy) *update 6.5.21* -helmsman now randomly working on the rudder to hold the boat on course -added random 'aye sir' -added 'pressure in the boat' from ballast control -added random crew sounds found in the speech folder should work with any mods. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1453 Last edited by vickers03; 05-06-21 at 03:43 PM. |

Vickers, can't remember, but didn't u release the EAX sim mod...I love that one, the sound depth is as real as it gets. I have no other sound mods loaded but noticed new voices at the deck gun, I assume it's that mod. Not sure of the first word, but sounds like bolt, then ready, fire.. love it.
I assume these will work together. |

Any progress on this mod? I've been playing RFB and it needs a speech overhaul BAD!

Man, this is what I have been looking for! Now that I know that when a superior tells you to do something (Helmsman, make your depth six-zero feet) the helmsman doesn't respond "Yes, sir!" they instead say "Aye, sir...", I've been wondering how I could fix this possibly in SH4.
Thank you for the sound mod (albeit this 'thank you' is 12 years too late! )

I like the new visuals and sounds ..but for some reason I seem to have lost my "Rudder Amidships" sound from FOTRSU 1.46 ,even though it was not over-ridden. Perhaps an incompatability somewhere in the maze of AnimGraphs dat files
