Hi there, Related work progressed over the Damage control screen Now we will have new Damage Sub draw, That will remove that annoying Light Grey Rectangle that was there before this change. More work will be developed yet to the other Sub draws tga files so that every class is changed to look like this. |

JC, This is excellent work!!. I can't wait for release. Its too bad SHV couldn't follow in your path. IMHO their screens are way too modern looking, & it really looses a feel of being in the 40's era. your mod is moving in the right direction..

Thanks guys, cool words ! Anvart sorry but maybe I didn't explain, this is the Sub Damage report screen also, I thought cause it is the Crew and Damage Sub Table would be a Little more Dirty looking as the actual in base Crew Barracks screen, This table was inside the Boat and used most of the times not only by Officers but also by Repair team so you can imagine how would it look after and during patrols.... I thought it was too clean yet like this This table I think would be the only table that actually would look most of the time a complete mess... |

One request - please don't put the "oberkommando der kriegsmarine" inscription on every damn screen! This is the thing that I don't like in previous u-boat mod.
-------------- And, JCWolf, I know why I didn't found you mod earlier - its because I really hate your site (www.jcwolfworkshopbdu.com), using it is a nightmare for me, all this flash, big pictures, sound etc, it is slow and uncomfortable as hell. Last edited by verte; 02-26-10 at 06:36 AM. |

LOL...Thank God it is the only thing! explanation of why I use that over the Books used on the Graphics! Not all have it, but when it is the case of Personal German navy files that were used by a German Unit or Man, This often had the German Kriegsmarine Stamp on it or If issued by the High Navy HQ or Ranks into Other units on their service would have also the Stamp or mark of the Kriegsmarine , Main menu, The open Book is what you can see as a "oberkommando der kriegsmarine" mission or orders book or manual, that actually serves as the Games menu, to give a more Real feeling I add it this way so that it really looks that in fact you as a Kalleun are in your desk Reading a Important Book from The "oberkommando der kriegsmarine" giving you full access to your campaign or patrol... Major documents like the Crew files or Books that would contain important unit info or personal massages were always marked with the unit Stamp or head title...The same way as above explained this applies to any important German navy Document in the game, The only documents I really don't add that are in most cases paper notes used by the crew or other personal that were in fact simple Note Books without any Unit mark at all and were used to write what ever they needed to write that was not of relevant importance inside their military Duties on day by day service.... So taking that of would be taking the feeling of real thing in my work and I want it to be as close as possible to reality in those days. |

Thank you for explanation. I like stamps, but its just too big - maybe they also used an abbreviation? It would be a nice alternative
