Default eh up..what's going on here then...

seeing as we are in Babylon 5 territory with this one i can't resist the statement..."And so ..it begins"

American plants the flag in er....um......arhhh....somewhere?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/6063926.stm

maybe they HAVE found Oil on Mars :hmm:

i know it's been mentioned before regarding the satelite controversy but it's still intrigueing
it'll get extremely barmy if folks start trying to police space..but it's great territory for Sci Fi fans...

"and so...it begins"

I'm already working on a website to sell blocks of space.

Since the US owns all of it now, I guess it's time to make some money off of it.

If anyone would like to pre-order a special area of space, contact me now before my site goes online.

Will you charge more for the blocks that have a good view??:rotfl::rotfl:

I wonder what Russia, China, Japan, etc. think of this? I sure there is some therories going round the net that it's all Bush's fault that space got sold to haliburton for $9.99

Quote:
"The United States will preserve its rights, capabilities, and freedom of action in space... and deny, if necessary, adversaries the use of space capabilities hostile to US national interests,"
So basically what they're saying about space is:

mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine...

Par for the course then.

'National interests' doesn't that particular phrase give you the right to claim/do just about anything? A bit like saying something is a 'Just cause' - it's entirely subjective, unfortunately for everyone else.

So, the WWIII will start as soon as man is capable of flying in a fighter up in space and shoot up his enemies?
