More than likely been covered ad nauseum, but I've missed it if it has - so apologies in advance.
When in heavy rain/fog i see a radius around the boat that is affected by reduced visibility. Outside of that radius I see a black seascape with no waves rendered. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? I have an NVidia 5500+ card. MLF

It is clear visible when you put the external camera on a plane flying at high altitude. But if yo put the external camera on a ship or your sub, almost at sotck height, you never reach to see those square limits... even in a clear day, and specially in fogy days. Same underwater, if you increase the underwater visibility value beyond of 20 or 21 you can see this limit underwater. Can you put a screen shot ? may be the people who worked on the Visibility Mod can help you .... sorry if i cant be useful.... Last edited by Redwine; 08-14-06 at 07:48 AM. |

Thanks for the reply, Redwine. When I'm on the bridge view in fog, I see a hazey band, and then a black band beyond. In outside camera view at sea level I see a band of haze/mist but as I raise the camera only slightly I see the black sea that I am talking about beyond. I have tried posting an image to imageshack but I must be doing something wrong because it doesn't seem to work. I'll keep trying.

Here are the screenshots from MLF problem....
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() @ MLF : Do you use any mod wich changes the SkyColors_XXX.dat and the EnvColours_XXX.dat ? Why you dont try to replace them for another ones.. I experienced some problems time ago due to have installed a determined Visibility Mod and change its corrsponding SkyColours and EnvColours files for nothers.... Any way i have the same problem than you in the last screenshot, the ships has no textures into the fog, i think so it is a program issue. Any one has a sugestion for MLF ?
