Having problems installing patches

Hi: I have had problems when I installed the patches [mods]. I am a 70 yo male with Multiple Sclerosis and have problems thinking properly sometimes. I installed all the patches and my SH3 crashed. I lost all my patrols, medals, etc. I had to repair the program and start over again. I would really like to install the patches but I'm not sure in what order to install them. I would really like to install the following: CA's Instrument patch, RealUboat 1.45, Merchant Variety Pack, Torpedo Loading Screen, 13owman's Readable dial mod, Military Mods 1 2 and 3, Improved smoke, 400m Depth Gauge, T2 Torpedo Range, HiRes Flag textures, SH3 Sonar Room sound, Full Vulnerability Manual, Moon Phases, Augies64' English and Flag Regnition SH3 Voice Command, Readable Compass, Navigation Course Solver, 360° Bearing plotter, SH3 Low contrast RM and map drawing tools, Hat Emblems, Uniform Mod. However, not all have instructions for me to foll on what to do or how to install them. Do I have to be in port to install? No I am having problems returning to base from my patrol area. It will not give me that option. Since I had to start over, I am now on patrol 7 but can't get back to Kiel. I really do require some assistance installing these patches.
