Default Random Mod/SH3Cmdr Questions - help?

1) I have all of Pascal's mods installed including Pascal Ripbud and onetinsoldier dials.

How can I make them slidout like the slideout dials mod does?

2) I've noticed since installing SH3 Commander program, that when near base - I can only increase TC 1x or 2x, and always jumps back to 1x - it basically maxes me out at 1x until I get very clear of the base/harbor. Normal?

3) I noticed in the Sound Tutorial mission that there is a mast hieght or something like that on the targetting clipboard in uzo and peri screen. Is that only shown when realism is set to manuel targetting only?

4) How close to your base do you have to be before you can dock there by esc key and get the renown bonus?


5) When I do a SH Commander "Rollback SH3" option - do the Commander added files reinstall next time I run the program?

6) Do I need to add the air power mod before I will see Uflak boats and get Anti enemy air battles near base from the HT mod?

7) Can I install graphic and sound change only mods in the middle of a mission? Or just when in base?

8) I have yet to hear any of the Gramophone radio broadcasts I thought would play after installing SH3Cmdr - is this because I have other downloaded gram songs installed?

8) Here is my JSMGE installed mod list - see any conflicts? Keep in mind I am using SH3Cmdr.

If any conflicts exist - should I fix and if so, how to fix?

Any and all help appreciated - new to sims and loving SH3

The Pascal dials are just graphics files. I'm no expert on the compatibility of the dials mods, but I think you should be able to install them over the slideout dials mod and I think that should be fine.

This is a standard feature of SH3. It has nothing to do with any mod. If you're too near land it will limit you to 1X TC.

I'm not sure. It's been so long since I used auto-targeting. I would expect so.

All I know is that it's a shortish distance - a few kilometers maybe.

If you do a rollback, all the SH3 Commander-based files are taken out. When you run SH3 Commander again it will install files based on the choices you make for that session. These may be different files than the previous session or they may be the same, or a mixture. It all depends on the context.

I think the HT mod alone will give you all the air combat you desire. I believe it's meant as a stand-alone mod. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

You should be able to install these kinds of mods in mid-patrol, but generally speaking, any addition in mid-patrol is a risk. I wouldn't do it.

There are only 34 gramophone tracks in the SH3 Commander mod. That's about 1 every 2 months. 1939 is a bit light, but if you have SH3 Commander installed correctly they will be in there. The radio tracks are all called 'Radio.wav'.

I don't see any conflicts that I'm aware of.
