I had connecting problems and found out my virus scanner Panda was the problem, just shutting down didn't solve the problem.
I had to delete it from my HD. |

This is the situation I have:
I have two comps connected via a cable from a lan card in my system. The network connection folder shows a MAC bridge port adaptor which must be enabled for the other comp to have access. The Adapters.txt file in DW shows up both IPs for the Default IPv4 and the MAC bridge port. I've worked out that the MAC bridge port is causing the inabilty to host in DW. I have no probs joining in DW. If I disconnect the cable or disable the MAC bridge port, then Hosting is available. To any experts out there, is there a way around this without having to disconnect stuff. Thanks in advance

I have horrible connection problems.. Neither my firewall or antivirus is the reason. Adapters shows fine, no problem there. I just cant find any rooms when i join to some ip. Need help. I have done everything is said in Molons mp topic, no joy. I really like to play mp, but it seems impossible. My every other game is working perfectly.

Try to connect with ZA shut down. If it works you know where to look. With XP you don't need a firewall I removed ZA a long time ago, no problems wath so ever. |

Hamachi and tunngle are great ways to play multiplayer in general.
I'd recommend tunngle over hamachi. |

I don't know if this has anything to do with connecting with different operating systems, but this is the starting point for connection problems generally (copied from CADC):
You can find a ReadMe in the Dangerous Waters installation folder which covers Multiplayer issues, however for convenience here are the highlights.
Connection // Ports for Client Configuration // Ports for Host Configuration
------------- I'd also check to see if it makes a difference if you use your computer IP vs. router IP, both for adapters.txt on the host machine and the IP (if any--you might not need one on a LAN) the client is connecting to.
