Hello subsimmers
Some time ago I asked for your opinions about the 1/700 Jeremiah O'Brien liberty ship by Trumpeter Well, I haven't posted any update, but now I'm here to redeem myself with a rather growing collection Let's start with my debut triple build ![]() First, Revell U Boot 1/350 ![]() ![]() My very first model just to get a hold on the assembly and the painting I originally wanted to paint her belly black, but instead went for a gray color which turned out way lighter than i expected Recently I repainted her with black ![]() Not a beautiful work but hey, it's my first one ![]() Next up was the liberty ship Trumpeter Jeremiah O'Brien 1/700 I wanted to give her a more generic wartime look so I didn't paint extra lines nor add the decals and it still turned out nice. The underwater part of the hull is molded in red while everything else is gray For nice little touch ups, I painted the top of the funnel, the inside of the lifeboats and the prop of course It turned out rather sweet ![]() ![]() Next up, Revell Titanic 1/1200 My little pride and joy It was my 3rd build, fully painted and even went in for little details such as painting the bollards, capstans, winches, benches and the tops of railings Being my first model to be fully painted, it turned out great imo ![]() ![]()

Next up, Revell Colombo Express 1/700
I always had a hidden admiration for container ships and when I learned about this one, I had to get one as I was not sure when would they want to cancel it or something It is a rather large one totaling at 48 centimeters ![]() ![]() There are also container blocks that are assembled from side-front-top-bottom pieces instead of gluing thousands of containers together ![]() ![]() This is a full capacity up to the brim load that nearly never happens in reality but i don't care The only problem is that I still haven't painted all... I wanted to go for a colorful approach instead of painting every block the same color (which would be way easier indeed). It's just so much work that I don't have the motivation for them now Container ship - liberty ship comparison Both are 1/700 ![]() ![]() Next Revell Titanic 1/700 WIP Yes, Titanic is one of my favorites so of course I had to get a bigger one At least now I'm getting a little 1/700 collection together The current state ![]() ![]() Decks assembled, funnels test fitted There are many more parts and little corrections to be done with the painting but finally i can see where i have to correct it for good Little and big sis together ![]() The kit came with a 4 bladed center prop, however in reality, Titanic had a 3 bladed one So I cut off 3 blades and glued back 2 in a 3 blade config ![]() ![]() And yesterday I mysteriously found this in my bag after totally not visiting the local model shop ![]() ![]() I've been eyeballing her for quite a while but finally decided to buy her Being the last of her kind, the mighty ocean liners with a classic style livery, QM2 is a nice balance between modern and classic as I don't like modern passenger ships (cruise ships)

Hey, nice work. You can see the progress from your first model through your later builds. I like how you modded the propellers, it looks good.

Oh hey, thank you Papa Onkel
![]() Yes, I've managed to get a hold on some techniques and always try my best Painting is currently a terrifying experience for me as it's hard to fix a mistake but sooner or later it will become a routine I use brush as i don't have the funds for an airbrush set Meanwhile i started painting the QM yesterday and fixed some spots and mistakes on the Titanic's bottom meanwhile so some updates will follow soon when I'll have time to continue I also plan to build another U boot but with more effort and details next time Also for future plans I've been thinking about the Bismarck in 1/700 and another Liberty Ship in 1/350 and paint it in a civilian style livery with black hull, white superstructure and yellow masts, cranes, funnel Also in the far future I'll probably get another titanic and drill the A deck's windows out and the back of B deck a little so that it would resemble her older sister, Olympic And then of course Britannic in the far far future ![]() Yes, Olympic class is sure my favorite class of liners And liners are my favorite type of ships They are probably amongst the most beautiful things ever created by mankind
