I am thankful that I am a "one percenter"

I have not conduced a thorough evaluation, but I consider myself a 1%er and on this day of thanks giving, I am thankful.

I am thankful that I am wealthier than probably than 99% of the population of the world

I am thankful that my health/safety is probably better than 99% of the population of the world

I am thankful that my standard of living is probably better than 99% of the population of the world

I am thankful that despite political whining, my outlook is probably better than 99% of the population of the world

I am thankful that the majority of my problems are rightfully considered "first world problems". That does not mean that my problems are not problematic for me, but that in comparison to probably 99% of the population of the world, my problems are pretty minor

I am most thankful that I have the opportunity and means to make changes in this 1%/99% ratio. Not by bringing myself down, but by helping others. Even though my contribution is infinitesimally tiny, I am thankful that I can make such a contribution.

When compared to probably 99% of the population of the world, I have a great life. I need to keep reminding myself of this and continue to be thankful of this
