More Slots for compartments?

Hey guys, i made an account here just for some questions about modding, plz dont kill me if its in the wrong corner

Im trying to add more slots to the bow and stern crew compartments so i can have most of my crew resting during a long travel in a campaing. cant seem to find the respective line and if i did they dont seem to have a major impact since nothing has changed even tho i unleashed a rampage on my Basic.cfg

Also, is there a way to add more than one Deck Gun to a sub? In Chinese U47´s WSM as you probably know only the first turret is playable due to a sub of course having only one deck gun. In the basic-cfg i managed to add some but the changes dont apply so i guess its having to do with the source code wich is totally out of my capabilities or im looking int he wrong places.
