I found a Japanese sub!... A weird one

hello, gents. I got pretty excited for finding a Japanese sub in my American campaign but I wasn't expecting to find one like this.
Is this how they're supposed to look like?

Hmmm. Looks like a Type IX U-Boat hull to me. Maybe a kit-bash of an existing model to play the part of a Japanese sub? And where's the conning tower?

The first and only time I ever got a "Tench" class sub, it looked just like this.

I'm guess'n that it's suppose to be a I-361 cargo sub. Least that's kind'a what it looks like.
