Critical Flash vulnerability

The recommended advise for the time being is to deactivate Flash. The recent update of Flash from just days ago, HAS NOT solved this issue, but another - also critical - security hole.

http://malware.dontneedcoffee.com/20...-in-flash.html

http://www.spiegel.de/netzwelt/web/a...a-1014540.html

The exploit already gets used by criminals.

A script blocker may be the answer, or a manual deactivation of autorunning flash code. Chrome so far had not been hit due to an error in the malware code, but that got fixed by the attacker and Chrome now is coming under fire like all other browsers, too.

Be on your guard!

It was a shame when Adobe bought out Macromedia, Flash was once a good technology that has just become a mess. Actually I wish I had my old hypercard that I used on my mac long ago

Adobe today released the needed fix that any user of Flash may want to make sure that it got installed. The version should be 16.0.0.296.

It fixes the reported major security hole and makes Flash safe for the time being - until the next major security issue with this rotten thing of a digital poison becomes known.
