Another funky thing I have noticed

If I tab out my game (SHIV 1.5 TMO) and go back in, one of the crew says "passing thermal layer" approximately every 2 minutes. That's annoying as hell. I cannot even save, quit, and restart. I have to shut down my laptop and launch from the beginning. Anyone else have this? Good fix, work around?

It's been noted many times over many years that SH3 and SH4 have this problem. The only solution I'm aware of is to not Alt+Tab out of the game. I've only heard about the problem myself because that's something I've never done.

I've never had to deal with this either.

Have you tried to pause the game before you Alt-Tab out? It has been suggested that might eliminate the problem.

just hit the windows key and you get out of the game to desktop then click on the task bar icon to get back into the game.

another "safe" method to leave the game for a moment is to simply hit the "esc" key which pauses the game
