Anyone played this game ? And yes, what are your thoughts about it? I bougth when it was released, lost it and found it back recently when moving house.I played it for a while but it was nothing in comparising with the SH series.I must say, now with the thread of North Korea it is more actual then ever.

I like it!...
The game was not welcomed by gaming critics in 1996, and was labelled as too Arcadish. And it is Arcade like, then the graphics are dated, however the game play is tactically serious. When I push the realistic settings all the way, then winning against AI takes some doing. I need to be a lot more thorough, careful, anticipate and details oriented than playing any SH's if I want to finish the game as a winner. It is a great tool to train for some basics of SW. I kept an old laptop to be able to play it along with some other old games. That is how much I like it and still play it. At that time, Tom Clancy was still controlling his Brand-Name for computer games. He sold it some years ago, so any games coming out nowadays with the Tom Clancy Brand, does not have the same type of quality control. Last edited by biosthetique; 08-23-13 at 01:39 PM. |
