As a stand alone mod, unless someone has it on their page Gamefront or Mediafire, or somewhere like that, I don't think it exists as a separate mod anymore. I know the megamods have to one extent or another incorporated it into their enviornmental structure.

But ROW was the beginning.

But this may be it under a different name, as the author is the same as the one who did the core work initially for ROW.

ROW was early work by a modder at this sight (RIP) who sadly has passed away.

his ROW mod was great at the time but as the game got updated ROW also needed updating and 2 different modders continued his work and each turned out great but they had thier differences in what they thought was a better look for the game so the end results were "Environment 5.0" and "PE 4" mods. later still after the game had stopped being updated and was finished (in UBI's opinion) these two mods were finally combined into just one mod and this became the "Real Environments" mod and for a long time it was the only environmental mod for the game.

the mega mods use the "Environment 5.0" or "PE 4" since they were what was in use when TMO and RFB were being finalized and redoing the mods for the newest environmental mod was just too much work and they had no interest in redoing everything. these older mods are still there to be downloaded and used and each have a little different look and feel to them.

i have seen there is another environment mod lately called "Improved Stock Environment" or ISE but i havent had a chance to try it out yet.

keep in mind ROW was designed for a much earlier version of the game and the files used in it are from the sh4 v1.2 so there are definately going to be issues using such outdated game files. while parts of ROW might work use cation with old mods, they can corrupt your game files and cause ctd issues.


so in a way the Real Environments mod is the grandchild of the ROW mod

then look into the PE or ENV mods for v1.4 they were both using ROW as a base and one of them should give you the look your after
