I could have sworn that I saw a thread on this before, but unfortunately I cannot find it.
Anyway, the only major mod that I'm running is TMO. In my current patrol, I was unable to hit a Moromoya (sp?) Maru with pistols set to impact exploders. This was during rough-ish weather, but the ship was still floating high above the water; the screws were visible pretty much the whole time. Is this an isolated bug? |

Are you sure you have TMO loaded, if so what version of game and TMO?
It was common in stock for ships to ride what we referred to as "on a rail", because they stayed fixed and didn't roll with the waves. It's still possible with TMO for ships to roll high with wave action and props come out of the water, but it should be a rocking motion, not always out.. Also if you're using M14's, they tend to run about 9 ft deeper early war, so depending on your depth setting, they can easily run under a target. Just sounds like stock to me, I haven't seen that issue with TMO |

WELCOME TO THE PARTY!
![]() Now, I had, on a scant few occasions, come across ships that were floating ABOVE the water, if that's what you're talking about. This was a couple of years ago, so I'm not too keen on the details. I'm not actually certain what the cause was, but in my particular case, it was either due to an improperly installed mod or a possible conflict with undeleted "Saved Games" files in My Documents/SHIV/DATA/CFG/Saved Games. I don't know if this is the issue in your particular case, but it would help to know what version you're using in both SHIV and TMO. ![]()

What the hell happened to my post I did not type that first bit?
![]() Anyway I was trying to confirm that the OP in fact has TMO running. If you see the old SH4 title screen you have a problem. If you have the new TMO screen then you should start a new career and not use old saves. If you are running TMO 2.5 be sure that you have SH4 version 1.5(aka Gold edition) and be sure to start a brad new career and not an old save.Another possible cause of funny things happening can be from excessive time compression speeds or from loading a save that was saved under contact conditions(something being on your radar or sound gear upon saving).High TC almost always effects the weather conditions and dropping out of high TC can screw up the weather which will have an effect on how the ships float on the water. I would uninstall TMO in JSGME and then install it again and load up the game and start a new career to insure that you have no bugs. Before you do that you can also try loading your old save if it is a few hours before you make contact try loading it again and see if the ships are floating in a strange fashion again. If they are then remove TMO and then install and start a new career. |
