Depth Charges

Hello,

I really do enjoy this community as I can ask any kind of question I need to and normally get a good response . But, I was curious as to how often depth charges are deployed from warships when they find you do they normally deploy depth charges to try and attack you? I know that I have just randomly died in the water when running from them but to my knowledge, and my ear no depth charges were used. I'm going to be installing the popular mod, 'IRAI' here soon as well and I'm sure that, that will do just what I want and hopefully even make everyone more aggressive thus, making the game more fun . But if you guys could enlighten me on the conditions that must be held for the depth charge to be deployed that'd be wonderful.
