Aye, likewise Jim. I can only hope that one day all that once was will be again. If we can keep the two QE carriers, well...it'll be a start. I don't care what flies off them, F-18s or F-35s (F-18s would probably be a better and cheaper bet) just so long as we have two carriers at the very least.

I remember Xabba posting a clip from this video a while back, its nice to see the old Phantoms and Bricks in action. I didn't realise how tail heavy the Bricks are, at 4:04 one of the Bricks decides to do a wheelie...I dunno about you but if I was the pilot I'd be Bricking it too...particularly coupling that with a carrier landing.

Thanks for posting this Jim, it's a nice reminder of a time when things weren't so grim for the RN. I still cling to the faint glimmer of hope that one day when we get ourselves back together, we'll have such a navy again.

We will be getting one QE carrier, but it looks like currently the 2nd one will be built and then mothballed.
