Default Im stupid

Hello... Im new to this game and to this forum, and so after watching a couple of Let's plays of this game and getting it myself, I wanted to get some mods.

Here I run into some problems. What is JSGME?? How do I intall the mods when none of the once I found had an exe file, there where also other abravations that I cant remember.

Im no nerd or computer freak, so I simply have no clue as to how to "install" these mods. I read this in a read me file: Install mod via JSGME... and I was clueless...

I have looked for some info on this, but it just seemes easyer to ask politelly!

Thx

Grüber

WELCOME ABOARD!

Sober's links will teach you a lot, and you can't go wrong asking questions. Even the most talented modder and experienced game player started out scratching his head and saying "Huh?"

JSGME stands for JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler, and is designed to work with any game. It comes with its own instructions, and once you use it a couple of times it becomes very easy.

Here is a link to the JSGME thread, to help you get started.

Feeling stupid is a sure sign of intelligence. It means you're willing to learn. The more questions you ask, the more you'll learn, and before you know it you'll be helping other people.

Great advice from a great man. Welcome Gruber, and by all means ask questions.

Your're not stupid at all and Welcome to subsim

In short, JSGME is a versatile little tool made by Subsim member JScones, it will sit in your games directory and create a new 'Mods' folder where you can drag and drop any JSGME ready mods, then when you run the tool it will give you the option to easily enable or disable any of the mods you placed in that folder.
But please do follow the links posted above for full instructions.
Let us know if you get stuck.
