There are such mods, but I am not too familiarized with them, so you must check out the supermods page in the main SH4 forum.

Keltos has made a wonderful series of playable Japanese subs, and is still refining and working on more!
They are playable through the U Boat missions add-on. At this stage a Japanese Campaign is being developed too, and is making great progress ![]() so you can enjoy the great work of Peabody, Keltos and others soon(ish) with luck. WATASHI MO, NIHON KAIGUN DAISUKE!

Yeah, in the SH4 main page, there is a thread on mods. Also, there is the download page for SH4. Check it there. The mod you're looking for exists, but for some rason not a lot of people use it, so it is not commonly mentioned in this forum.

oooooh yaaaaa
there is one....Keltos createt some real awsomeness http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=137761 There you go... Personaly i dont sail uboots or fleetscrap..... Take the B1, 17 reserves, 6 tubes, great japanese torps... http://www.combinedfleet.com/type_b1.htm Abit help for you. Japanese subs, especially those who can compete are huge. They crash dive slow, and dont go as deep as the German ones. They do have nice range (you can do a mission and sail around for 3 months afterwards) Under water they dont act like ballet dancers. So are the utterly crap. Hell no. You just have to learn how to use them. I have limitet succes against taskforces, but send a text to midway and ask how many ships are mored there ![]() ![]() Light escortet convoys are ok. lighty deffended harbours are ok, the missions are deffently doable, but the large taskforces are where things can get ugly fast. One thing i can tell you is. With the B1 Austrailian coastal waters are not the place for an allied ship solo. You do have accces to a variaty of japanese torpedoes. Choose wisely. Plan ahead. After mission complete do you roam, and what is your plan for roam. Arm the sub for your plan, dont go mindless choosing the aucustic torpedo because its cool, it sux against mored and anchored ships. What this mod brings are good, but not great subs. But they carry the best torpedoes of WW2 and the B1 carry ALOT of em! since you have interest in this i will post my final modlist when its complete. Trying to install mods that brings abit more life for one using WW2 japanese subs. |
