[TEC] how to convert .obj files to google sketchup?
i need to do this for a project to make animations and Vertical tubes for a typhoon for SH4...

You should be able to find an import plugin for sketchup on the internet, as well as an export plugin. I have found that some OBJ exporters don't export with the correct syntax to be importable by S3D.
Also- adding vertical launch tubes can be tricky if you're using missles that are modified torpedos, all torpedos fire along the same axis, so if you alter the axis to allow vertical launch your torpedos will fire from the torpedo tubes vertically as well. A good example of 'cheating' the missle axis can be found in the Oscar 2 sub currently available for download.
