Default TMO/ Questions/latest version ect

Ahoy again'
I need the skinny on what the latest & greatest version of TMO there is available.
Also, if I want to run RSRD with TMO, do I need any special patches. I am going to download this tonight, but I noticed that the latest TMO on the supermods download section is 1.9 I think.
I'd also appreciate any opinions on flavor, or additional mods for effect. I will be running TMO on Windows XP so please tell me if there is additional patches for that. I can't remember the Graphics card I bought for my desktop except it's an ATI with a huge fan, a couple of years old. If anyone needs that info I'll post it when I get home.
Thanks in advance. Hope I don't sound like a dope but I can't access my desktop computer at this moment.

Armistead,
Thanks so much.
This will be plenty to chew on, I hope to have everything running in a day or so. I will probably be back with a couple questions but I'm usually pretty good at getting this stuff to work with my systems.
I'm just hoping my other computer has got the power I think it has. I've been on this laptop for so long I have to get back on the desk to see what it's going to need.
Great!

Default and

As noted in another thread, I have the same set up as Armistead, except for

1. EZ Plot1.0 (gives you ship silouettes if map contacts enabled),
2. Nav Map makeover,
3. Convoy Routes TMO + RSRD, and
4. Extra Allied Naval Bases for SH4 + UBM + TMO1.7.

Nos. 2 and 3 are not a big deal, but No. 4 gives you more bases to refuel and rearm. I assume No. 4 is historically accurate.

I would play with map contacts disabled, but I it slows down the hunt. If map contacts are disabled, I would activate Nisgeis' 3D TDC mod, which takes time to learn.

Freestanding programs (you have to pause the game to use them, which I do not use on my borrowed, slow computer because of the lag caused by closing the SH4 screen and opening these program):

1. Mobo (aaronblood's masterpiece.)
2. Solution Solver (by gutted)
3. Hydrophone tracker (by gutted, with tutorial by jerm)
