Default Escorts quarrel

Hey guys,
I was attacking a convoy earlier and, whilst being hunted by the escorts, I witnessed one escort firing its guns at the other . Just prior to this both escorts were close to one another dropping depth charges at me. I was around 35m-40m down.
My question is could one escort accidently damaging the other with a shallow depth charge cause this or is this some weird bug in the game?
As a test I went to ahead flank to see if they would ignor me, but one escort continued to pursue me as well as fire at the other!

GWX has many paths, just as God in saying the Lord's ways are inscrutable

I just want to say, that today on my 14th Patrol (and still going,) I was using the Time Compression a little excessive and sure enough before I knew it, flak guns totally destroyed and 90% hull damage.. What happened.. The Destroyer rammed me while I was at P. Depth.. No biggie, till I saw he was sinking and destroyed.. I was happy, but I know that should not happen, lol

I hate it when mommy and daddy fight.

Actually I've seen escorts destroy each other accidentally, by running over top of each other's depth charges or one ramming another because one of them rams me and gets stuck there and the other one can't change course in time to avoid a collision. But I've never seen one fire on another. Although I did get an armed ASW trawler to help me sink one of the merchants in a convoy by surfacing just out of range on the other side of the merchant. The trawler was trying to fire over top of the merchant at me and everything was falling short and hitting the merchant instead. Who I was also shelling with the deck gun, so thanks for the help guys!
