troubles with speed and U-Boats

I share your frustration with U-Boats and speed. They usually become unstable anything over 28 knots when you're zoomed out and TC is high. If this helps you can modify the NSS_Uboat(a,b,c,c41).cfg file. That has the speed ratios for the speed incerments. The reason for your nose-dive is the aft diveplane influenced by the propellers. I think theres a setting in there to change it. I think some of what you're experencing is possibly hard-coded in the game. Part of the problem is what they probably do is when you make a turn, they'll crank the rudder full to one side and then back when the turn is complete. In SH4, you could gauge the degree of your rudder. I belive you can do that with a mod that puts the sh4 interface on the sh5 game. I could be wrong, bit it's alway interesting to look into.
