Targeting Boats in Real Fleet Boat 2

How do you select a ship to attack with RFB 2.0? I found myself 100 miles out from the Japanese mainland, mild fog, pitch black and inside of a massive convoy, however I cant seem to be able to attack any of the boats. the TDC, I have automatic targeting on, wont update. The range, speed, and direction are all for the a destroyer I was dodging to get into the convoy. Im about 500 yrds away from a tanker and my TDC has me aiming for a destroyer 7000 yrds away. can somebody help me?

Turn the Position Keeper off.
