Yeah...Print Screen doesn't seem to be taking screenshots. When I do "Load From Clipboard" in MoBo it just shows me the MoBo window with my desktop in the background. Pasting with Ctrl + V into MS Paint doesn't work either and just gives me the same result. Did Win7 key configurations change? I've migrated straight from XP, so I don't know if Vista users had the same problem as well. I don't know, what should I do?

No problem! Just load up Shutter! Oops. That's a Linux program. Hold on whilst I check out my Windows drive.......
There you go! Find Lightscreen, an open source refugee from the Linux world. It will fix you up with more flexibility than you know what to do with, including automatic saving of your screenshots with consecutive numbering and automatic naming so you don't have to take the screenshot and save it later. It also keeps a copy on the clipboard. Unlike the in-game ctrl-F11, which also saves a full screen screenshot in your main game directory, Lightscreen lets you take a screenshot of a partial screen, either of a predetermined size or by drawing the box and taking the shot. So there you go! Ctrl-F11 for the game function, Lightscreen if you want more flexibility.

I haven't seen any bug reports related to Windows 7 Print Screen not functioning.
I suspect it's more likely your keyboard needs a driver update. BTW, you can also load images to MoBo directly from the print screen buffer by just pressing the "Ins" or "Insert" key. |

Windows 7 does have a screencapture tool builtin called 'snipping tool'. It is more flexible than just using the PrintScr button. And allows to set a key combination for it.
But if you press Alt PrintScr, Windows 7 should dump the current active window to the clipboard.

No good...Everything, including Lightscreen, just gives me an image of my desktop, and not my game.

Don't know anything bout Win7, but maybe give this a try...
On the in-game options screen, try putting a check next to "Windowed Mode". If you run the game at the same resolution as your desktop you probably won't see any difference in the game, but you might be able to use Alt-PrtScrn to shoot a picture of the active window. I had no probs with PrnScr in XP or Vista32 or Vista64... I'm hoping MS didn't decide to reinvent the wheel with Win7 PrnScrn. I've seen what they've done to "improve" Office 2007 and I shudder to think what unbroken thing they want to redefine for us next. |
