Default Getting a new boat in GWX Final

How do you get a new sub in GWX final? I did a fresh SH3 install and the mega mod, but it seems that in the career mode I cannot access the area to get upgrades, new torpedoes, new conning towers, or new uboats from within the campaign menu. Did GWX change this?

Mh.. did you patched the Vanilla SH3 to 1.4, before GWX?
Or some Mods running that change the Menu.ini?

Yeah thanks for that, especially since I didn't see it in there. Real helpful.

Yup, fresh install, patched, then installed the GWX multipart download on top of it.

Only other mod was a fatigue mod I installed after, but had already noticed this problem.

Does this mean that you'll get no upgrades made available, or that you can not buy?

In stock SH3 while at base you could click on the little Uboat and it would take you to the screen to buy radars, upgrades, new conning towers, or new uboats. In GWX I cannot click on anything to get to that new screen. In the main campaign screen while at base I can only click on save game, options, crew, and begin mission.

Are you at your home base, or have you returned from a patrol? What you describe is what happens when you dock at either a re-supply ship or a neutral port. You can only manage crew. If you return to your original base, all the options will appear for you again.

... assuming this is the issue of course.

Good luck

Thinking the same Still weird though. Could it be that he's running SH3Commander and forgot to pick the exact year and flotilla ingame , I know I've forgotten that from time to time.

That is correct and a fair possibility.

If you are in fact in your home base, go to the office and click on the U-boat blueprint on top of the desk at the lower right of the screen.
