I was just curious if anyone has ever run into this issue before and solved it.
The color on my monitor is fine and beautiful for everything. The problem comes when I go to play a DVD movie or a movie ripped from a DVD. The first problem that occured was I couldn't see the DVD video at all and there were just wierd rainbow colored shadows and shapes floating around and the audio would come in fine. This occured wether I played a DVD in my DVD drive OR when I played a movie ripped from a DVD from my hard drive. Then the problem seemed to go away by itself but was replaced by another problem. Now, I see the video on the screen, but the colors are all washed out like someone put a blue filter over the lens of the camera and the video quality is crap and REALLY pixelated. This occurs regardless of what programs I use to play the movie and wether or not I play it directly from a DVD or from the hard drive. I tried adjusting the color ratios for my monitor, but all that did was make ALL the graphics on my monitor look like crap so I reset it back to what it was. This problem only occurs when I play DVD or ripped DVD movies and the color is perfect for everything else. Any ideas ? I've posted in a lot of different forums and managed to stump everyone.
