Bring your browser into full screen mode (F11) and remove the menu bar. The link gives oyu a sequence of empty screens. Some are checkered (pixel by pixel), and clicking on them will move the checkered pattern by one pixel. Clicking again then does the same, but with diferent clours. At the end, you get severals creens in solid colours. These screens are helpful for your eye to identify hot, dead or stuck pixels. The link at the very bottom gives some advise on how to maybe cure at least stuck pixel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defective_pixel http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixelfehler http://www.instructables.com/id/Fix-...n-LCD-monitor/

I will try this when I pick mine up, but how do you remove the menu bar, and if you end up with a blank screen how do you get back? (firefox)

Reece, try the articles i also linked up, there are three types of erratic pixel: pixel never shining (dead pixel), pixel always shining (hot pixel), and pixel being faulty in part (for it actually consits of a red, green and blue "minipixel": called stuck pixel). the latter things eventually can be removed, as described. Most faulty pixels being experienced, are stuck pixel.

Thankfully Skybird I can say no dead, stuck or defective pixels!!
![]() Taking sometime to get used to this monitor, can you tell me if it's normal for the top to be darker than the bottom, I think it's just an LCD thing, when scrolling certainly more noticable, tilting the screen changes the brightness etc but not the effect. ![]()

Did you try the suggested link Skybird posted, the last one, might fix it!
![]() I suppose it would depend where it was, dead center would suck!! ![]()
