Default Free Multiplay Firstperson shooters

I thought i did try out a mulitplayer fps, so i search for some free ones and came across 'CombatArms'. http://combatarms.nexon.net/

No hassle installation before this i tried another fps Warrock which was a pain in the ass to install only to find out i had to pay for better items/weaps other than that it too is free if you dont mind paying for better stuff.

Combatarms looks good on high detail actualy it looks really good with the bloom effect and all that jazz added to it i was surprise, zero lagg even in heavy populated maps - The maps are well made and you have your usual gamplay CTF, Elimination (team v team) search & destroy & deathmatch all the modern weapons are there if you want better weaps you can either pay or use your GP points to hire that weapon for 1 to 7 days. I played this for a good 5or so hrs the servers were low to moderate population then suddenly everyone must of woke up in Mexico or were they Spanish? cause the servers became full of non-english speaking guntoting bandits who just totally own us noobs thats when the frustration started and thats when i realise - AIM BOTS Well i should of expected that, not eveyone is a aim bot bandit but all it takes is one player in match to ruin it for all. Someone One shotting you from the other side of the map no matter where you are you could even be hiding behind a rock and your get one shotted Oh putting a full round from my AK47 at 10 metres into a players back should kill him dont you think not this guy he just kept running only to kite in the air doing a 180 turn to one shot me. :rotfl:

This could of been a great online shooter, like i said not everyone is using aimbots, but just knowing aimbots are been use more than often is ruining this game, I will give it time and see how the devs react to hacks if it gets better and I see them getting kicked automatically like in America's Army shooter then i might stick to this game as theirs potential here and some good (non hacking) players.

I use to play AA alot hacks on there to but it is way better controlled your get banned from servers etc., and AA is always being updated for bugs. But when i went to reinstall America's Army I have v2.3 it wont let me update to 2.8 instead i have to download the new version with their new client base program yet my speeds are like dialup trying to dl this, pathetic. And far as i know the only way to download the latest version is to use there client base program. I just can't be bothered waiting for days for the new version to download.

Whats a good free multiplayer shooter out there. One's ive tried:
Combat arms
Warrock
America's Army - probably the best free online shooter.

non free shooters
COD 2 & 4
BF 2142
BF1942

Downloading AA is slow anywhere and they have to host it on places that require a registration to get it faster.

There's that new cartoony Battlefield game (BF Heroes?) that's supposed to come out sometime before Armageddon. Might be interesting.

Yeah BF Heroes is going open beta in a few months, can't wait for that.

Beta signups are already started for it.

I wish they would i wouldn't mind having to register if the DL is faster, but there new client base gives me 7kbps speeds and its 1.3gig Im to impatient to wait that long. First time i got AA it was off a gaming mag dvd, I still have it but after install this version i thought all i would have to do is DL an update patch to the latest version yet it tells me I must DL the new full version.

I played COD & BF 2142 to death that i'm not interested in these game now.

Might wait for that BF Heroes mention here.

If you can find a torrent it'll be quite fast.
