Silent Hunter 5 in the making?

I don't know if that's the right place but look what I've found:

ENG: From the interview I had with the PR Specialist of Ubisoft Romania, Erdei Jacint, at the Brothers in Arms Hell’s Highway launch event, when I asked about ”What are the future plans for Ubisoft Romania?”, he replied with this:
After H.A.W.X., will come the fifth part of a very popular Ubisoft series, a simulators one and I’m sorry, I can’t say nothing more.
Considering what Ubisoft Romania has been working on in the past(Silent Hunter 3, 4, King Kong și Blazing Angels), the only simulator they’ve been working on and would be at it’s fifth installment is Silent Hunter 5. Looks like a confirmation to me. The full video interview in Romanian will be up tonight!(will have english subs) Keep your eyes peeld.

Default Might be Storm of War??

Wouldn't that be a "fifth part of a popular Ubisoft series (IL2)"?

Forget it. Why would Ubi Romania take over IL2 from Oleg? Especially when he's already worked on SOW for 5 ****ing years?

You make a good point GlobalExplorer. Driving the point home needs some work SOW is obviously Olegs masterpiece if not his final masterpiece. I do not see anyone other than Oleg finishing what he started. Even if it is two more weeks.

Kind of a confirmation to me. Dan already said something that made me pretty sure SH5 exists (i.e. did not try to deny the speculations).

It's particularly good news that Ubi regard the SH series as "very popular" (i.e profitable), bodes well for expansions & continuation of the series.

It's normal. Now in Russia many people wanted SH 3!

Mikhayl, I like the way you think! And add to that the ability to export those logs and annotated maps, all generated within the game. The replay would be much better if you could rewind and use all the in-game viewpoints as well. Game generated movies integrated into the replay section would make tutorial making and after failure analysis much easier, while lessening the need to use the exterior camera during gameplay to analyse events and take movies. It would allow us to have realistic gameplay and use the cheat stuff later, after they can no longer influence events.

But I continue to believe that a brand new SH5 would just trade one set of problems for another and that a refined SH4 is likely to be preferrable to a green SH5. We're not 15 year-old FPS players who discard our beaten games in several weeks. Refusing to adknowledge that differences between simulation players and FPS players necessitates a different business model means we are not going to get the refined sub simulator we wish for.
