Professor Larry J Sabato is the director of the Center for Politics, University of Virginia, and author most recently of A More Perfect Constitution.

Or was that an example of that wicked CCCP humour...?

Er...none...because I don't care. It's not my prediction, and the 'commie euro' is a US academic, by the way.

Well you can't expect a Canadian to know that...

I have seen this guy Sabato many many times on Fox News. Hence he musn't be one of those commie pinko liberal wacko freaks.

Its not over till its over. Same thing happened in the last two Pres Bush elections. Both Gore and Kerry were leading well. Both went down. Polls mean nothing. Add 8% to any repub for the tendency of repubs not to participate in polls. Notice how far they were off with Clinton and Osama? Clinton was expected to win by a huge margin if you listen to the polls.

As for this election, I give up since both choices are leftist choices. Both have somewhat socialist policies, one just more than the other. McCain is better than Osama, but still not the best choice. I wanted Thompson. Short of Thompson, I'd vote for Palin.

You get nearly the same cookie no matter which way it swings. Right now, all I care about is that it is over.

I've already voted, so my vote is cast.

What the hell is wrong with you?

It is Obama not Osama

Do you know who the candidates are this election?

As for the last 2 elections.. Kerry alone was down the entire time he ran against Bush. Even great debate performances did not really help.

America has mostly made up it's mind. It will likely be Obama because A: Vote turnout is already at records everywhere which benefits the newcomer. And B: the last time a stunner happened was when a newcomer against a HIGHLY unpopular president managed to hit just right. The unpopular president? Carter

Everything is looking bad for McCain right now. And reports are he is abandoning MUST win states. (Tho I suspect it is a ploy to get dems to think "Obama is going to win so why vote?" )

Depends on vote turnout really.

Yep, never forget the 8-12 point advantage that Republicans always have.
Don't think about it too hard, but don't forget it.

Zachstar, why are you surprised or shocked by his actions?

Dirty intentional smears such as those above by Subman are par for the course with him.
