Default Why is everyone so scared of President Obama?

I mean really, I want to know. If you are rich or poor now, you will be the same under Obama. What's the big deal? I mean don't worry, congress will NEVER let Obama give you any free health care or a higher minimum wage. So what's all the fuss about?

Um, if "everyone" is so scared, why is he leading in opinion polls? :hmm:

Alternative answer: cause his middle name is the same as the ex-Ace of Spades' last name?

President Obama? Excuse me? Try Senator Obama.

Besides, not only do you know nothing about him (He has never passed a major peice of legislation in his life), but he is hiding his past like no one I've ever seen before, and is taking it so far that you can't even use his middle name!

So what do you have there huh? You can't even tell me.

Some people need to get a clue.

Obama is frightening for the things he is on record supporting and saying in the past. Plus there are many things in question like his citizenship, donations (from foreign sources), his religion and others he has yet to clarify. And his role in the financial blunders doesn't instill confidence in me his ability to lead us out. Much at stake, yet this guy couldn't think himself out of a wet paper bag. If you're not scared of this guy, you ain't paying attention, or you have no stake in thuis country at all. Good luck to you.

Uhh.....does it matter what he tells about his past? If McCain wants to talk about his years in 'Nam, fine by me, but I don't understand why Obama must talk about his past when the election is in the future, and the future is, at the current time, not very bright, so concentrate on what's ahead instead of behnind maybe?

(Non-American and takes no responsibility in the coming election and it's consequences.)

Well when I said everyone I meant the large number of right wingers on this forum. I get a kick out of these forums, I don't meet right wingers in my day to day life. My tax bracket is too high.

Pfft, work is for suckers.

recently, a Democratic operative pointed out that when Obama holds a rally 25-30,000 people show up, whereas when McCain holds one, he only draws 10-15,000.

The Republican spokesman replied, "That's because McCain's supporters are at work."

Apparently at least once more.:rotflwhy'd you quote it???)

Recently Palin held a rally in the Orlando area and attracted about 20,000 people. Obama held a rally at Bethune-Cookman College and attracted about 5,000. "OBAMA SENSATION!!!" screamed my newspaper's headline. Palin had a little box on page 2. No bias there, is there?

Obama used the occasion at one of the country's greatest black colleges, Bethune-Cookman University (good school. Several friends of mine attended there), to posture in favor of women. He cried that women don't get the same respect as men. He cried that women have to be paid the same amount of money for the same amount of work. He called for laws that would require that and to require every business to prove that it was in compliance.

Meanwhile, the Obama campaign pays its employed women $1,900 less than men with the same job description. That discriminator fat cat McCain pays his women 9,000 more than men with the same job description. Who believes in promoting the welfare of women? Sounds a bit like Jesus' story of the pharisee and the Samaritan, doesn't it? Who believes is the one who does, not the one who says. Any uneducated farmer can tell you that. But a university professor will try to tell you otherwise. I hope you have the confidence in the right to laugh at revealed foolishness like that.
